I’m Aubrey.
I have a passion for art. From painting to makeup, skin care and tattoos, I simply love all things “beauty.” I always wanted to be an artist when I grew up. My journey for self-realization has been a long road and I’ve learned that the growing up never stops; we are always evolving.
I grew up in Chapel Hill, North Carolina. I studied Fine Art at Warren Wilson College, and later attended Moore College of Art and Design for Curatorial Studies in Philadelphia. After college I moved to Sayulita, Mexico, where I painted murals and apprenticed at the local tattoo shop. I later returned to NC and began working in a natural skin care and makeup store. I fell in love with helping people discover what makes them feel confident and beautiful in their skin.
I completed my initial training for my esthetics licensure at Aveda Institute of Chapel Hill and received my Microblading + Shading Certification from Altered Aesthetics Academy in Raleigh. I have special training in Bloodborne Pathogens Exposure Control and a Barbicide COVID-19 Certification.
I have a background in art history, fine arts and painting, picture-framing, mural arts, tattooing, makeup, and botanical skin care. I have realized that making, growing or creating something beautiful can generate a sense of wholeness within someone else. I like to think that as a Cosmetic Tattoo Artist and Esthetician, I can be a step along someone else’s journey towards self-discovery.
I believe in the natural beauty, individuality and autonomy of all women.
In my free time I enjoy surfing, painting watercolors, and playing with my dog.
I can’t wait to see you in the studio!
